Insurance Authority (IA)
The Insurance Authority (IA) is a statutory body set up to administer the Insurance Ordinance. The principal functions of the IA are to regulate and supervise the insurance industry for the promotion of the general stability of the insurance industry and for the protection of existing and potential policy holders.
The Insurance Authority publishes circulars from time to time to remind industry participants of certain regulatory requirements and/or to help them understand regulatory issues.
